Our kitchen feels like it’s just the right size. We have plenty of counter space and plenty of shelves for plates, pots and pans.

Gotta love the big sausage at any ball game.
My perfect baseball meal includes sausage and beer. We had both during the Bay Bridge series at AT&T Park yesterday.
This is a juicy Polish Kielbasa with a side of potato salad. I also had a refreshing pint of Stella Atrois.

Suzanne was sweet enough to show off some of our tasty eats at Pangea in Sacramento. Along with Jamie, we swapped travel stories from Amsterdam, Iceland and Russia. Good times.

In St. Petersburg, I had issues ordering vodka.
At a cafe near my hotel, I told the server I wanted to sample their vodka. She looked horrified and said she didn’t understand English. I thought this was odd since we managed to go through my orders for an appetizer, dinner entree and a cocktail.
“So sorry,” she said, refusing to offer any selections on what some people call Russia’s national drink. I gave up and asked for the bill.
We made it down to Stockton with a hearty appetite for the Stockton Asparagus Festival. This year, I decided to pace myself and keep my belly open for other festival treats.
Every year, I ended up stuffing myself with deep-fried spears. It’s a festival tradition to dip piping hot asparagus spears into cool ranch dressing. I like tasty traditions. However, it also takes up precious real estate in my tummy, making me miss out on other festival goodies.
