Lunch from Copper Oven

After my noon-time meeting, I walked down to 21st and Chelsea for lunch.
I ordered this steak soup from the Copper Oven — rich, savory and oh so meaty.

El Charro Goodies

We took it easy after our action-packed day at Wakarusa. We slept-in until around noon and did a late lunch at El Charro in Topeka.

Chips, salsa and beer — sometimes it reminds me of our honeymoon in Ixtapa.

The guacamole needed a few squirts of lime. It was still a tasty side dish to our Mexican-American meal.

I had the Beef Tampico — a burrito stuffed with steak pieces, rice, guac and smothered in cheese.

TGIF Drinks

Last night, we un-winded from my demanding work week with drinks at Old Chicago. I had a few Long Island Iced Teas and a Tuaca Bomb. A hazelnut-like shot dumped into a glass of Red Bull.
