Ball Park Dining

Polish Kielbasa at Ball Game, originally uploaded by queenkv.

Gotta love the big sausage at any ball game.

My perfect baseball meal includes sausage and beer. We had both during the Bay Bridge series at AT&T Park yesterday.

This is a juicy Polish Kielbasa with a side of potato salad. I also had a refreshing pint of Stella Atrois.

Whole Beast Supper Club

Imagine heading down San Francisco’s Mission district and dining inside a Mexican bakery that has been transformed into a speakeasy for foodies.

This year, Susan and Tom introduced us to the Whole Beast Supper Club.

It’s a wonderful flavor experience as chef Kevin Bunnell highlights his chosen protein over five courses – from appetizers to desserts. La Victoria is a great venue with friendly service and a BYOW (bring your own wine) policy.

Falling in love with crispy duck skin
Last night, I fell in love with the crispy duck skin on the duck leg galatine.

Here’s our duck feast from last night.

Here are photos from our goat dinner on Feb. 4.

In My Belly for 2010

This time last year, I got a Fortunate You necklace from Tea Stain clothing in Sacramento. The fortune said: “You will step on the soil of many countries.”

A combination of wanderlust, luck and professional opportunity made that fortune come true in 2010.

I sampled fresh fish and explored new flavors in Russia as a guest lecturer for St. Petersburg State University.

We celebrated my birthday with ceviche on the beach in Ensenada.

Finally, I left my Sacramento newsroom behind and became the Newark Patch editor. In this Alameda County city, I cover news, politics, crime and other issues that matter to Newark residents. Plus, I have a chance to profile all the amazing food spots in Newark.

What do you think? What should I try next?
