Twisted Farm Food

A fruity way to start breakfast at the Hash House A-Go-Go inside Legends. The restaurant prides itself on serving “Twisted” Farm Food. It’s like re-inveting comfort food with a haute cuisine mentality.

I could not finish this huge serving.
The sage fried chicken was served with scrambled eggs and mozzarella, plus bacon, biscuits and tomatoes.

International Flavors

Sausage Roll, originally uploaded by queenkv.

This year, we decided not to fill-up on dim sum before the Kansas City Irish Festival. So, we had enough room in our bellies to try this flaky, savory sausage roll.

We watched the Cal Bears v. Tennessee game after the Irish Festival. We rooted for my alma matter over a nice bottle of Savignon Blanc and buttery snails.

Leaving Kansas

We had a morning flight out of Kansas City.
So I loosened up with a couple of margaritas at our favorite cantina.

We had a layover in Chicago. So, I jammed down to Midway’s food court and picked up a real Chicago hot dog from Gold Coast. Heaven! This is an Italian sausage with onions, peppers and mustard. Hold the ketchup!

In Long Island, we took my Auntie out to Sundried Tomato for her birthday. She loved these Prince Edwards mussels with the garlic cream sauce.

This place served up some yummy steamed clams as well.

And we adored the vodka pizza with fresh mozzarella cheese and prosciutto.
