I try to respect the “no meat” rule for Catholics on Fridays. This also marks the first month that I am free from overnight shifts on weekends.
God Bless March Madness.
My hubby wanted to celebrate my TGIF by going out. My only request – the food spot needs to have a decent selection of seafood.
We discovered a San Francisco institution that goes back 160 years.
I ordered a Hanger One Martini at the classy Tadich Grill in the Financial District. Servers wore ties and white coats behind the bar and by the tables. Their prompt, professional attention impressed me as they juggled orders from a packed house.
The dinner menu had an impressive selection of fresh fish and seafood.
I was delighted with the Dungeness crab cake as an appetizer. The rich, flaky crab meat got a nice hit of acidity from the pickled egg on top.
It was a lovely night out with the hubby and the rest of the world who enjoy TGIF.
