My hubby and I satisfy our itch for decadent dishes by driving across the Dumbarton Bridge.
Martins West in Redwood City is a great spot for Moscow Mules and gastropub fare.
I fell in love with the grilled octopus. The bartender says the chef marinates it first and then tosses it on the grill.
The bone marrow had me at hello. I first read about it on the restaurant’s online menu. My foodie heaven: Fatty, juicy meat spread thick on toast. It makes me melt.
Sometimes my food cravings fixate on food trucks. I pointed my Corolla south to Fremont’s Automall Parkway when I saw a tweet about Mogo BBQ serving lunch next to the BMW dealership.
I drove in circles, trying to find the black food truck. I pulled over and tweeted them back, asking for help. I even called the BMW dealership, asking about the food truck. They thought I was nuts. One lady said sure they had food trucks around but it’s not her first choice for lunch.
Mogo finally tweeted me back and I found the truck and my Kimchi Quesadilla. Seriously, BMW lady, you’re missing out on this fantastic flavor combo of spicy, pickled veggies and melted cheese.
