Butterfly

My hubby and I celebrated our 6th anniversary at Papillon in Fremont last weekend. Our wedding date falls just a day after our first date ever. We ran around San Francisco, hunting for bizarre items in a thrift store scavenger hunt 11 years ago. We ended the night at Ghirardelli Square, holding hands and walking by the beach.

I’m happy that we found a sweet, romantic spot in Fremont to celebrate our relationship.

The Perfect Pint

Davis is a fantastic town for beer fans!
Little Prague had the same pilsner we sampled on the streets of Stare Mesto (Old Town). My favorite meal in the Czech Republic: Cold pilsner with hot sausage in a bun, standing next to a food truck. I remember brushing away snowflakes from my face.
Prince Julep and Strawberries Napoleon in Davis
In Davis, Little Prague had a great selection of Czech beer and absinthe cocktails, like this Prince Julep. I was also addicted to the devil’s toast: Czech bread covered with spicy ground beef, pork and cheese.
Amazing Beer
Another place to fuel up on beer in Davis: Burgers and Brew. Unlike it’s Sacramento counterpart, the Davis location had a wonderful patio and it has a bigger selection of beer.

My hubby was impressed with the Belgium beers on the menu. The kitchen knew how to serve up burgers, medium-rare and plenty of flavor. This is the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger.
