Hot weather, flames and some kind of protein. We have been firing up our grill this summer and the results are quite tasty.
Earlier this month, my hubby grilled beef bratwursts links and scallops. I brushed salt, pepper and olive oil on the scallops. He also grilled some white potatoes from our garden.
Inside our kitchen, I sautéed white beans, butter beans and spinach. I also added grape tomatoes from our garden.
I’m happy to report that I have a green thumb. It’s such a thrill to cook with produce from our backyard. We planted this garden on March 14 and she has bloomed. The grape tomatoes are the rock star in this plot. I also dig the potatoes. I ended up killing the green bean plant and the chives. However, I think that’s because the potato vines didn’t give them any where to grow.
What should I plant next?
