We spent our Saturday in and around downtown Aggeville.

I made a Jason’s Deli run for folks in the newsroom. I got a Chicken Panini.
Later, my hubby and I did late drinks and food at Old Chicago. We had a Flying Monkey Beer and a pomoijito. It’s an American version of the Cuban mojito with pommegrante juice.

A complete meal in a box - meat, rice and cheesy sauce.
All we added was hot water and milk.
I’m a little sad I couldn’t use fresh ingredients…but we didn’t have time to do some real grocery shopping.

I felt energized after my daytime snooze. So I headed out to the gym
Since I didn’t have anything to eat since 4 AM…about 90 minutes before my morning show, I felt famished after working out.
So I whipped up another grilled cheese sandwich with garlic salt. Totally hit the spot.

According to the waiter at One80 in Westport, the $1 cover charge to get into the bar hopping scene is more for keeping gangbangers out of the area.

We spent Saturday in Kansas City.
We did lunch at Mi Cocina in the Country Plaza.
This an order of chicken and beef tacos from the a la carte menu.
We ended up at Westport later in the evening. We did a late dinner at Papa Kenos.
